Project Overview

iDesignRES is a European research project dedicated to advancing the planning and operation of sustainable energy systems. The project develops open-source modelling tools and cloud-based platforms that help stakeholders design flexible, efficient, and resilient energy networks.

Consortium

The iDesignRES consortium brings together 22 organizations from 11 European countries, coordinated by NTNU in Norway. This partnership includes leading universities, research institutes, and industry experts, each contributing specialized knowledge in energy system modelling, software development, and practical implementation.
